Through this newsletter we would like to inform about the latest developments of our software SPHINXdistri Mat. New functionality : Silo Management

Do you have silos on your own site or scattered across the country at various customers’ or suppliers’ locations? Using the silo management module in SPHINXdistri Mat, you have the possibility to manage all your silos.

Several silo movements can be determined for each silo order. These movements can be:
- Is there a silo at the customer’s site?
- Is there a need for return?
- Is there a need for replacement?
- Is there a need for replenishment?

On the 'Silo card' we keep track of the silo movements history and determine a particular price per silo. Either there is a fixed price per silo or a flexible price, where we take account of the silo consumption. This new enhancement in SPHINXdistri Mat provides complete silo management and you know exactly where your silos are located.

Automatic calculation of units of measure.

An additional enhancement for SPHINXdistri Mat is the extension of the item card with different units of measure. Three extra standard parameters are added e.g. Height, width and length. In this way, there is an automatic conversion to the preferred unit of measure e.g. m2 or m3.

Bouwgroep NV kicks off with SPHINXdistri Mat.

Over the past 45 years, Bouwgroep NV has built up a rock solid reputation in the fields of construction materials, floors and natural stone. Business was growing at a very good rate. But until recently, the software automation at Bouwgroep NV only consisted of a limited invoicing software package and a separate accounting program. This software environment had become obsolete and could not cope any longer with the growth ambitions of Bouwgroep, with its 3 locations and its 30 odd employees. Mid 2009, Bouwgroep NV selected SPHINXdistri Mat to automate their business processes. SPHINXdistri Mat is a an advanced vertical business software solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV, especially conceived for wholesales in building materials.

Today, having implemented SPHINXdistri Mat, Bouwgroep’s financial administration is fully integrated with all sales, logistic and purchase operations. Double data input is prevented. Bouwgroep specifically appreciates the ease with which purchase orders are created and followed up on. Another great advantage of SPHINXdistri Mat is the built-in pallet administration. Bouwgroep determines for each customer and supplier their pallet credit. This easy-to-use and always up-to-date pallet control system represents substantial added value for Gedimat Bouwgroep NV!

An intuitive and inventive way of working with the new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

In the beginning of this year Microsoft released a new version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV. SPHINXdistri Mat, based on Dynamics NAV, will very soon be released onto this new version. The new release emphasizes on a role tailored user experience. Role tailored home pages make it easy for people to view their work priorities and access their specific information and tasks they need to do for their specific job. A susual, there is a deep integration with familiar programs such as Microsoft Office. Also from a technical viewpoint, the new version takes a major step forward. The new 3-tier architecture and the web services integration are just a few examples of technical breakthroughs that should ultimately lead to a lower cost of ownership. All these new capabilities and improvements will be provided in the new version of SPHINXdistri Mat which is to arrive by the end of April.
